My Review
Another review of Krave Products which I really love because of their natural ingredients.

The package
Most of the packaging of the Krave products are not that appealing, but it doesn't mean that they are not effective or good quality. Now their mist, it's just an ordinary small spray bottle with a clear cap on the top and a low quality of a sticker with their label.

The liquid and fragrance
The color of the liquid is light green , maybe because of the teas which are the key ingredients of this product. Its smell like herb but not that strong.

I love this product, It help my make up last long for about 6-8 hours. My sister notice that my skin is always blooming. After I put my make up I spray 2-3 times on my face and neck to keep away my make up from smearing. I have an oily skin and I'm acidic, but when I use it It eliminates the oxidation process. A good partner with this product is the Krave Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator which I already gave a review. I will recommend this to all gals who are always busy and don't have enough time to retouch.  But for me as a student, this item is too expensive for 30ml only. So I made some research and I found out that you can make your own make up setting mist. I will discuss it on my next topic. :)

My Review

The Package
Frankly speaking the package is not that appealing, compare to other cosmetic products. Its just an ordinary powder container with s small powder puff. Actually, the powder puff is not that soft. Sorry about the dirty powder puff. I can't find the same size in any store, so i can't replace it.

The Shade
It has no shade, it's transparent. Sorry I can't show you, how the powder looks like, because I already finish it (n_n). Anyway, I will just explain how it looks like. Its a white powder, same as Johnson and Johnson's loose powder. When applying it better to use a powder brush so you can evenly blend it in your skin.

The Scent
Its fragrance free, which is safe for sensitive skin like me .

Overall Review
I like this product but not that much. Since I have a acidic skin It doesn't really stop the process of oxidation but it can slow down the process. But after I used make-up setting mist from Krave, before and after I put my make up on. The oxidation process is totally gone and it give me a glowing and healthy skin!Yehey!I think the two products are good in tandem. I will give a review about the make-up setting mist when I have free time. Anyway, I will buy this product again. I will recommend this for all the gals who have sensitive skin and oily skin. It also has natural and chemical free ingredients which is good for all types of skin.

POSITIVE
- Hypo-allergenic
-Non-comedogenic
-Non-acnegenic
-Nano particle free
-Fragrance free
-Applicable for all types of skin

NEGATIVE
- price is not suitable for 3g.
- I need to use another product to achieve the finish that I really want.
- No available small powder puff near my place.(u_u)

Skin Food Buckwheat Loose Powder #21 Review

Skin Food Buckwheat Loose Powder #21

Product description (source: www.theskinfood.com):
Infused with soft, fine pearl particles, this multi-function powder achieves a subtle, luminous finish.
Rice extract creates a clearer, incredibly radiant skin tone.

Shade:
#10- Transparent
#21- Skin Beige
#23- Natural beige
#40- Lavander

How to apply?
After foundation, dap gently in following order: forehead→eyelids→cheeks→lips. Press remaining residue gently under eyes.

The package
I love the engrave design on the cover of the container. It looks like expensive and elegant. But its to bulky to carry on. So I prefer to transfer it in s small container. It has soft fluffy powder puff inside, and after the puff it has a cover with a small hole where the powder will be release in small amount.

The Shade and Coverage
I have yellowish skin tone, suppose to be I ordered #23 Natural beige but my supplier delivered the wrong shade. But it's ok 'cuz I think it's the right shade for my skin tone (n_n).
I applied a small amount all over my hand(fist) and I spread it evenly using a powder puff. The powder is a little bit thick.

I thought It was too pale but walah! The coverage is just right! (n_n) and it can last up to 4 hours.

The Scent
Yes, It has a floral scent. Actually I'm a little bit allergic on scented products but this product I love it! It doesn't clog my pores and even I have a pimple, It doesn't irritate. Maybe because the ingredients are natural(n_n).

Note:
Do you see a date on the back of the package?
You thought it's the expiration date?
Well, the answer is NO!it's the manufacturing date (n_n)
Actually, the product can last up to 3 years once you open the package. Not bad, isn't it?

What I like about this product?
- the coverage is just right.
- it can control the oil in my face
- the design of the container is elegant to see.
-the product can last up to 2 months depends on how often you use it.

How to prevent foundation to oxidize?

I love foundation (liquid or powder), it helps me to cover my blemishes with a smooth and natural finish.
But wait! After having this perfection, at the middle of the day my face turned to darker tone(two times darker on my skin tone).
What happen to my face?
Does my foundation did this?
or the pH in my  skin react to the foundation?

If foundation turn to darker tone or orange, this process called oxidation. It happen when the sebum in your face interact with the foundation which causing the color to intensify. Base on the articles that I read, their are many possible causes.

*This problem also happen in BB cream.

Possible causes:
- your pH is high, means you're acidic.
- the foundation can't handle the humidity.
- the sebum interact with the components of the foundation.
- improper hydrating of skin.
-products that you applied in your skin before foundation(sunblock, moisturizer, toner, etc)
- using wrong shade for your skin tone
-using make- up that already on its death bed.

After knowing the possible causes, their are many ways how to prevent the foundation to oxidize.

Solutions:
1. Use a primer- it serve as a barrier between your skin and the foundation.Maybe it will not really prevent the reaction but still it can minimize the interaction of the sebum in your foundation.
2. Use two times lighter shade of foundation. After an hour you may get the coverage that you really desire.
3.Try to experiment, maybe some products may work on you or not.
4. I just read while ago,you can mix a small amount of baking soda in your powder. It can help to minimize the oxidation.
5. Check the expiration date of the make up. Some make up don't have expiration date, so before buying any make up ask the sales lady how long is the lifespan of the item.

Below I provide you a list when you need to dispose your make-up.

10 Steps How to Prevent Pimples

Have you encountered, when you wake up in morning a tiny skin lesions appeared on your face?! (>_<)
Yeah, It's a pimple!!!!!Our worst nightmare,ever!!!
But don't worry gals their are many ways to prevent this nightmare.

Before we start, what is pimple?(base on wisegeek.com)
A pimple is a small swelling in the skin caused by a blockage of a pore.A pimple forms when dead skin attempts to slough off but cannot, because of a stoppage in the pores of the skin. Commonly such stoppages are caused by overproduction from the sebaceous glands, which normally work to keep the skin healthy. Dirt and infection in a pore can also lead to a blockage, which will cause a pimple.

10 Steps how to prevent pimples

1. Wash your face 2-3 times a day or before and after you put a make up. Use a hypo-allergenic  or unscented facial wash. Use warm water, not hot water. It helps to open your pores and wash out the dirt.Throughout the day, oils and dirt can stack in our face which can breakout our skin pore and can lead to pimple.

I used Sulfur Zinc Oxide by Dr. Kaufman. It helps to dry pimples and prevent acne, blackheads, rough and oily skin. It will leave your skin super dry,so better to use a moisturizer after. I don't like the smell of the bar but it works well on me. It has active ingredients, 2g sulfur and 750mg Zinc oxide.

2. Use a clean towel to wipe your face. Don't use same towel for your body, better to have a separate one. Cross-contamination can lead to bacteria-growth.

3. Use a moisturizer. Yes, moisturizer is one of the solution!(o_o)
Because after you wash your face natural oil was remove in your face, so better to replace it using a moisturizer. For dry skin better to use a oil based moisturizer and gel based moisturizer usually works well for oily skin.

I apply Nivea Baby Smoothy Cream before I go to bed. I know it's for babies but it works well on my skin, since I have sensitive skin.
The positive points about this product:(base on the info at the back of the container)
- Hypoallergenic
-non-greasy, easily absorbed formulation
-free of parabens, alcohol and colorants
-skin-friendly ingredients
-with natural calendula

For morning ,I use Olay natural White light All in One Fairness Day Cream.
Which combine the effect of fairness cream + spot remover + moisturizer. Its light, non-greasy formula with triply nutrient system-vitamins B3, pro B5 and E and sunscreen ingredients helps, to lighten skin tone, hydrate and protect the skin from harmful UV rays to give you a fairness that glows. (base on the info at the back of the container)

4. Try an acne product. Many acne products was offered on the market, which may or may not work out on your skin. Usually acne products contains benzoyl peroxide which has drying effect and salicylic acid which helps to penetrate the follicle. Better to visit your dermatologist to know what is the right acne product for you.

When I'm still studying in Singapore my friend recommend this product to me. I went immediately to the drug store to try it out and it cost me SG$ 6.00, I think. It's quite cheap compare to other acne product. But it's very effective, after putting the gel that night when i woke up my pimple is already dry. The product also help to lighten the acne scars.

5. Drink 8 or more glasses of water everyday. Simple and easy to do. Drinking water helps to flushes away the dirt and reduces impurities.

6. Eat fruits and vegetables. have you heard " Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are"?
If you eat unhealthy foods like burgers & french fries from fast food, which contain bad oils and can ruin your body. Better to switch to healthy lifestyle. Eat fruits and veges, the best way to prevent pimples and it can reduce the breakouts.

7. Keep your hands off your face. Avoid touching your face with your hands, better to wash your hands first or apply a hand sanitizer. Our hands are full of bacteria which can lead to irritation of the skin or the pimple. Never ever pop your pimples it can result to infection and scarring.

8. Have enough sleep. Better to have 7-8 hours sleep everyday. Quality sleep can lead to less inflammatory processes, hormone balance and less stress, which will greatly improve the condition of your skin.

9. Keep your bed linens clean. Change your bed linens twice or trice a week to prevent the growth of the bacteria and to avoid clogging your pores.

10. Keep hair away from your face. Hair catch dirt from the air and can cause pimples. You can tie your hair or use headband.

Missha The Style Under Eye Brightener

Eye Brightener?Concealer?
Are they the same?

Ok gals don't be confuse ...(n_n)
Concealer is known to cover dark circle under the eye or blemishes, while brightener known to high light your eyes.(?_?)
Tricky,right? (^o^)
The two products should work together to get the best coverage and effects from your make up.(0_0)
But now many cosmetics company had created a brightener that also work as a concealer.

Have you heard about Missha The Style Under Eye Brightener?

Missha The Style Under Eye Brightener Shade 21-Light Beige

Product description (Base on Missha website):
A tip type of concealer that contains brightening properties which will cover dark circles and imperfection.

The Packaging
The container looks like a lip gloss type, small enough to carry everywhere. I hate the tip part which you use to apply the brightener. It's very unhygienic and some liquid stock on the upper part of the cup.(>_<)

Shade and Coverage
I got the light beige. As mention above it also work as a concealer, but for me its not.(u_u)
It has high light factor but it can't really cover my dark circle under my eye. But if I will put a concealer( Shu eumura-medium light) first and on the top is the brightener, fantastic result! (^_^)
Good bye dark circle!(^o^)
The two products work well together and I got a smooth and natural effect coverage.

Ease of Application
It's easy to apply and it blend smoothly. But better to use a sponge rather than your hand to get the natural coverage and to spread the liquid properly.

Missha Perfect Cover BB cream #23 Natural beige review

Have you heard about BB cream?
What is BB cream?
Why Asian women crazy about it?

BB cream or also known as Blemish Balm cream is among Asia's hottest beauty product right now.
Dermatologist use it to help laser surgery patients protect, smoothe and regenerate their highly sensitive skin while also providing good coverage for post-laser scars and redness. It also serves as sunblock, moisturizer, primer, concealer, foundation,anti-wrinkle,has healing properties and skin-lightening benefits.

After searching and reading more reviews about BB creams. I immediately turn on my computer and look online. Many Korean cosmetic companies offer different varieties of BB cream. I have no idea what brand should i use first. I have sensitive skin, so I'm very picky when it comes to cosmetics.

One brand got my attention, Missha Perfect Cover BB cream. One of the best seller BB cream last 2009. I ask my boyfriend to buy it for me as a birthday present(2012) :) He bought the BB cream online( Articulos de Fabulouso) I think it cost Php800(sale price) for 50ml (the biggest size), not bad :). They have shade 21-light beige and shade23-natural beige.

Product info:

The package
A shiny box, upper color is  maroon and the lower part is gold. This is the box for 20ml, good for busy gals which you can bring it anywhere. Unfortunately, I already disposed the box for 50ml.

The 50ml has pump bottle dispenser, easy to use and very hygienic. If you're not sure about the BB cream better to buy the 20ml its a squeeze bottle,  which is great to test how it will work on your skin.

Ingredients

Water(Aqua), Cyclomethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mineral Oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, Talc, Arbutin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Dimethicone, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Squalane, Adenosine, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Polyethylene, Beeswax(Cera Alba), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Caviar Extract, Algae Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fagus Sylvatica Bud Extract, Ceramide 3, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance(Parfum), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Citronellol
MAY CONTAIN[+/-; Titanium Dioxide(CI 77891), Iron Oxides(CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)]

Base on Missha Website.

Shade and Coverage
I got the shade 23- natural beige. When I applied it in my face using a sponge, it easily blend and had a natural looking coverage while moisturizing the skin. it's a little bit oily but i think that's the moisturizing effect and that's fine for me. It's better to use a sponge rather than your hand because of thick consistency of the liquid, better to start in small amount and just add to get the desire coverage. It will last for about 5-6hours in a cool environment and less than 5 hours for warm environment.

 Humidity
Here in Philippines the weather is HOT ,so the BB cream oxidize easily. Not Only that, If you are acidic the BB cream or any foundation can lead to oxidation. It happens when the oils in your skin or foundation is interfering with the pigments, causing the color to intensify and turn orange, or in some cases, a shade or two darker. I'm unlucky on this part, because I'm acidic and it's to late to know that :'( But don't worry gals you still have a choice whether pick the lighter shade; after an hour you will have the perfect shade, use a primer it can act as barrier or stay in cool or air condition place :).

 My Rate for this product:

 Package:♥♥♥♥
Price:♥♥♥♥
Coverage:♥♥♥♥♥
Long lasting:♥♥♥♥♥
Ease of Application:♥♥♥♥♥
Overall Rating:♥♥♥♥

This is the first BB cream I tried,it work well on my skin. But for me, I don't use it everyday because I'm acidic and it oxidize easily. Maybe soon I will try the lighter shade. The positive points about this BB cream is the SPF42, which is good enough to protect your skin in UV and prevent skin diseases.

My first article!yehey!Congratulation to me!lol
